Rodelle Gooey Fudge Brownies

We love brownies at our house, and I've always done my mom's (and grandma's recipe), but one day we decided to try this recipe found on the back of the cocoa package...and we are glad we did.  They are delicious!

2 1/ 4 sticks butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
5 eggs
1/2 TBSP vanilla extract
3/4 cup + 1 TBSP flour
3/4 cup + 1 TBSP cocoa powder (the Rodelle brand is the best...now if Costco will just carry it again!)
1/4 TBSP salt
1/2 semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional--someday I hope to do this with my kids)

Method: Preheat oven to 350.  Grease 9x13 pan.  Melt butter and sugar in a heavy saucepan on very low heat.  Let the mixture slightly cool and transfer to a large bowl.  Add eggs gradually, mixing well.  Add vanilla extract.  Stir dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture, stirring gently and minimally.  Add chips and optional nuts.  Pour into the pan and bake approximately 35 minutes.  Do not over bake.  Cool before cutting.  Indulge!
